Quick flomo is a third-party browser extension for flomo. It installs in Chrome, Edge or another Chromium-based browser on your computer. The browser you are using is already highlighted.

Quick flomo is a desktop browser extension, so it can't be installed on a phone. Send the link to your computer first.

How to install the offline package

These steps are only needed for the offline package. Keep the unzipped folder. The browser loads the extension from it every time it starts.

Download the ZIP and unzip it into a folder you will keep.
Open chrome://extensions in the address bar. In Edge, open edge://extensions. In Brave, open brave://extensions.
Turn on “Developer mode” on the page.
Click “Load unpacked” and choose the folder you unzipped.
Find the Quick flomo icon in the toolbar. Pinning it is a good idea.

Connect flomo

To send notes back to flomo, paste the flomo record API into the Quick flomo settings page. flomo states that this feature requires flomo PRO. That is flomo's own membership, separate from Quick flomo Pro.

You can install without flomo PRO. Summaries, translation, vocabulary and review don't depend on it. The API address works like a key, so don't share it with anyone.

Why these permissions are needed

Read the websites you visit: Selection translation, reading article text for summaries and capturing citation details all run on the current page, so the extension needs access to all websites. When you switch tabs, the side panel updates to the current page. Quick flomo does not collect browsing history.
Side panel, context menu and shortcuts: Opens the side panel, and lets you send or translate selected text.
Storage: Saves your settings, sign-in state and flomo API address on this computer.
Notifications: Reminders for upgrades and expiry.
Identity: Needed for sign-in with a Google account. You can also sign in with an email code.

Open an article you were going to read today, press Alt+Shift+F, click “AI Summary”, then click “Send to flomo”.

With a lot of extensions in the toolbar, it's easy to forget where this one is. Pin the icon, or remember the shortcut.
