Quick flomo FAQ

Quick flomo is a third-party browser extension made by an independent developer. It is not an official flomo product. It sends web notes to your flomo account through your own flomo record API.

Partly. flomo lists the record API as a PRO feature, so sending notes to flomo needs flomo PRO. Summaries, translation, vocabulary and review do not depend on flomo, so you can use them without setting up the API.

No. Quick flomo Pro is sold by us and unlocks Quick flomo features. flomo PRO is sold by flomo, and the record API belongs to flomo PRO. You buy them separately.

Sign in to flomo, open Settings, then go to “Extensions & API” and copy it. For the steps and how to test them, see this article.

It supports Chrome, Edge and other Chromium-based browsers. Phone browsers cannot install this kind of extension. You can send the install link to your computer.

If you use Edge, use the Edge Add-ons store. In Chrome, you can download the offline package, unzip it and load it with developer mode turned on in the extensions page. The offline package does not update itself, and you can sign in with an email code. See the install steps

Selection translation, reading article text for summaries and capturing citation details all run on the current page. Quick flomo does not collect browsing history. See the permissions

A clipper usually saves the whole page. Quick flomo keeps only what you need: a short summary, your thoughts, tags and a citation that leads back to the original. The same side panel also handles selection translation and vocabulary, so you don't need a second tool while reading in another language.

No. Quick flomo and the free generator only output the [EB/OL] web format. For journal articles, books and theses, use a reference manager such as Zotero.

Automatic citations in the extension are a Pro feature. If you only cite a web page now and then, use the free citation generator. It needs no install.

Up to 20. Pro has no limit and also includes web word highlights and Vocabulary Review.

Monthly and annual passes bought with Alipay do not renew automatically. Card and PayPal subscriptions renew automatically. You can manage them on the billing page.

Notes sent to flomo go straight to the flomo address you set up, and we do not store them. When you use AI summaries and tags, the article text passes through our service to an AI provider. The privacy policy says it is not stored. Your account email and vocabulary list are kept under your account.

No. The citation is made in your browser, and the page does not submit a form.
